Thanksgiving.

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

We give thanks for unknown blessings already on their way. ~Author Unknown

Nothing is more honorable than a grateful heart. ~Seneca

Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival celebrated mainly in the United States and Canada. It is a day of giving thanks to all that we have in each others lives and a day where family and friends gather together. I have very fond memories of Thanksgiving while growing up in the United States, all the activities in art in school and all the stories we learned about the Pilgrims and the Native Americans. Unfortunately, I didn't celebrate a traditional Thanksgiving dinner this year. Nevertheless this special day made me reflect on what I'm thankful in my life which I'm about to share with you.

I am thankful for:

1. My family and friends

My family and friends have supported me over the years I'm so thankful! Especially my friends who have been there through good and bad and are always there for me when I need them, I'm thankful and love you!

2. My boyfriend Andreas

Andreas and I have been together for almost 2 years now, and I love him so much, words cannot explain. He is one of the most understanding people I have ever known, he is always there for me and always truly listens to me. I couldn't be more thankful.

3. My cat Frankie a.k.a Meou

I'm very thankful for my cat because being an only child such as myself, it can sometimes get pretty lonely at home. My cat always lights up my heart :)

4. My dual upbringing

I'm thankful that I have had the opportunity to have spent half of my life in the United Stated and the other half now in Greece. Having two different outlooks in life has helped me see things without being judgmental and has helped me be more open minded.

5. My Blackberry

This might sound a bit silly but I'm really thankful for my Blackberry Bold 9700! Whenever I have had the need to get online but wasn't home, whenever I needed to snap a picture but didn't have my digital camera with me, my Blackberry was there! So I thank it very much and apologize for abusing it :P

6. My car

I'm really thankful that I have a car! In the area where I live public transportation does not really work for me and the hours that I leave my house. On a normal basis I leave my house around midnight so having a car to get me wherever I want is pure bliss.

My list can go on and on and on, but I think I'll put a stop here before I bore everyone, what are you thankful for Dolls?

My Birthday Bash at Villa Mercedes.

It takes a long time to become young.
- Pablo Picasso

On Sunday, the 14th I had my belated birthday bash at Villa Mercedes closing party for the Sunday SPA event. I had the time of my life! It was an amazing feeling to be surrounded by all my friends and loved ones who came to celebrate my special day with me. My friend Elena even made chocolate truffles for the event and my boyfriend brought an amazing vanilla-chocolate cake with strawberries. I became 25 years old and I'm still trying to get used to the idea, but as me and my best friend Elina say, "We will never grow up".

So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned. Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever, in Never Never Land.
-Peter Pan

At my party I wore a one-shoulder leopard print blouse from Bershka, a black satin skirt from Forever21, black booties from Forever21, sequined gloves from Tally Weijl and my D&G gold watch.

I will soon do a blog on all the great gifts I got.

Birthday trip to Nafplion.

November 7th was my 25th birthday (snif snif) and my boyfriend Andreas and I took a trip to Nafplion. Nafplion is a seaport town in the Peloponnese in Greece that has expanded up the hillsides near the north end of the Argolic Gulf. The town was the first capital of modern Greece, from 1829 to 1834.

It's such a beautiful town and just about an hour and 15 minutes away from Athens. It was the best way for me to celebrate my birthday with my beau taking in all the beautiful scenery. We went for dinner, took walks around town, visited shops and sat down for a cappuccino. Can't wait to go again!

Photoblog Day 10: A show you're currently addicted to

This is a tough call. I'm currently addicted to quite a few shows right now like Glee, Family Guy, American Dad but I'll point out my 2 top shows.

'The Sopranos'. I actually just finished watching the show's finale and I'm blown away. I've always had a liking for mafia related movies and name Al Pacino as one of my favorite actors of all time. When I started watching 'The Sopranos' I never thought that a show could top or even come near the success of movies such as 'The Goodfellas' and 'The Godfather'. 'The Sopranos' is a show that made me laugh, cry, feel fear and relief. But above all made me feel. You would never think that a mobster related show would bring out so many feelings. Amazing script, amazing acting. Highly recommended.

'Desperate Housewives'. I have been obsessed with this show the moment it came out, if I start rambling about how much I love it I'll never stop.

Any die hard Sopranos and Desperate Housewives fans?
